Children’s Ministry
A place where kids grow in faith, build friendships, and experience the love of Jesus in meaningful ways.
Every Child Seen, Known, & Loved By God
Elementary
Helping Kids Know God, Love Others, and Live with Purpose
Our Elementary Ministry helps kids grow a real and lasting faith in Jesus through fun, engaging, and age-appropriate teaching. Each week, children explore God’s Word with interactive lessons, small-group discussions, hands-on activities, and worship designed just for them.
We focus on helping every child:
Build a strong biblical foundation
Understand how faith applies to everyday life
Grow confidence in who God created them to be
Form healthy friendships with peers and caring leaders
Our trained volunteers create a safe, welcoming space where kids can ask questions, discover truth, and take their next step in faith. We love partnering with families as children learn, grow, and experience the love of Jesus in a vibrant community.
Creating a peaceful, nurturing environment where even our smallest ones experience God’s love.
The Nursery
Our Nursery is a calm, caring space created especially for infants and toddlers. Here, your little one receives loving attention, gentle play, and a peaceful environment that reflects God’s love from the moment they arrive.
Our trained and trusted volunteers provide safe, nurturing care so you can worship with confidence. We follow secure check-in procedures, maintain clean and comfortable rooms, and ensure that every child is valued, comforted, and cared for like one of our own.
Whether it’s your first Sunday or your family’s home church, we’re honored to partner with you in caring for your baby’s spiritual and emotional well-being.
Is my child safe?
Absolutely. We use a secure check-in and pick-up system to ensure children arrive at the right classroom and can only be released to you or an approved adult. All volunteers are background-checked and trained to create the safest environment possible. All of our Children’s Ministry staff and many of our volunteers are CPR certified.
What To Expect
What about cleanliness?
We maintain clean, sanitized rooms every week and after each use. Both leaders and children are encouraged to wash their hands regularly to help prevent the spread of germs and support a healthy environment.
Who will be caring for my child?
Your child will be welcomed by trained, caring volunteers who love helping kids grow in faith. Each team member is equipped to meet your child’s developmental and spiritual needs with patience, kindness, and joy.
What if it’s our first time?
We can’t wait to meet you! Arrive a few minutes early so our team can help you check in, find the right classrooms, and answer any questions you may have.
Wellness Policy
We ask that all children be symptom free for at least 24 hours before being checked into the children’s ministry. In order to help us create and maintain a healthy environment, please do not check your child in if they have any of the following symptoms:
• Fever or does not appear to be well
• Continuously runny nose or frequent nasal drainage
• Frequent loose or watery stools
• Frequent cough, sneezing, or shortness of breath
• Vomiting
However, let us know if your child has symptoms due to allergies. We also realize that some symptoms hang on when a child is not contagious.
Meet Candice.
My name is Candice Liebengood, and I am the director of the Children’s Ministry at HMCC. I used to be a toddler teacher at a private preschool and that’s where I discovered my love of shaping young minds. I am honored to serve the youths and their families.
We’d Love to Meet Your Family This Sunday
Whether your child is curious, energetic, shy, or still finding their way, there’s a place for them here. Our team is ready to welcome your family with open arms.
