What Is Friend Day?

Friend Day is a Sunday designed to make it easy to visit — whether you’ve never been to church, haven’t been in a while, or you’re looking for a place to belong. You’ll find a welcoming environment, meaningful worship, and a message rooted in truth and hope. This year, we are putting an international spin on Friend Day and celebrating the Gospel message that brings hope and resurrection to the ends of the earth.

Get Started

Warm welcome (no awkward spotlight): You can come in, grab a coffee, and sit wherever you’d like.


A service that feels approachable: Worship, an informal greeting time, + a practical message you can take into your week.


A place for your kids: A safe, engaging kids ministry where families feel cared for. We will have an in-church field trip with Zoo Atlanta during service as a special experience for the kids.

Food: To celebrate Friend Day, we will serve a meal directly after service. This is a totally free and tasty time to meet people and talk. For this year’s international theme, our meal will feature cuisines from all around the world.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Service starts at 10:30. Plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early if you have kids for check-in.

  • Whatever you’re comfortable in! You will see people in dresses and slacks and jeans and t-shirts.

  • Park in the first lot to the left if you have children or students. Park in the main lot, which is the second lot you will pass as your enter, to go to the main lobby.

  • No — you’re welcome to just attend and head out whenever you’d like.

  • That’s okay — you can keep them with you.

  • This is a common mistake. Hamilton Mill Christian Church and Hamilton Mill Church are different churches. To avoid confusion, be sure that your GPS has your destination as the Hamilton Mill Christian Church located on Sardis Church Road near Seckinger High School.
