Groups & Classes

Small Groups

Small groups are groups of people from our church gathering weekly in homes across our community to study God’s word. It provides a relaxed environment where you pursue authentic community, grow spiritually, and experience seasons of life together.

Interested in joining but not sure if the location and time will fit your schedule? Our small group leaders welcome you to visit and see if it works for you.

We exist to provide fellowship, support and opportunities for older adults to grow in their faith and to mentor younger generations. We also give back to our local community and our church through service projects. And of course we never miss an opportunity to support local restaurants and local home cooks. “Let’s say grace!”

Take The Step
Take The Step

The gospel means change! “If any person is in Christ the old is gone and the new life has come (II Corinthians 5:17). God gives us the power to overcome habits, hurts and hangups that hold us back and become who God intended us to be. But there are times we need additional assistance to work through old attitudes and beliefs that can cripple marriages, family, relationships, and rob us of being a productive employee.

Anger Management Class

Many people struggle with anger, often trying to manage it on their own. True freedom comes from walking with Christ and allowing the Holy Spirit to cultivate peace. This group will help you understand the types and triggers of anger and provide practical tools to transform your thinking and build new habits. You don’t have to live bound by anger. Freedom and peace are possible, come take the step toward both.

Pure In Heart
Pure In Heart

Most men struggle with sexual integrity in a culture flooded with distorted sexual messages. But God shows us what true, healthy sexuality looks like.

In this group, we’ll explore what the Bible teaches about purity, how unhelpful thoughts and triggers form, and the tools God provides to renew our minds.

Freedom is possible for those who surrender to Christ and take the step toward transformation. We may not have all the answers, but we know the One who does.

Membership 101 - 401

It’s been around for years and used by many congregations. I think it’s an effective tool. You are encouraged to touch every base and hit a spiritual home run! That’s the idea of the HMCC BALL DIAMOND! In January I will be teaching Membership 101, Ministry 201, Maturity 301, and Mission 401. The class will be in the Bible school classroom room 202. It would be nice to have a large crowd that requires us to move into the auditorium! Let’s all hit a HOMERUN and touch all the bases.
