Kindred Hearts

I have lived in northeast Georgia all of my life. I married my high school sweetheart when I was sixteen. We had three sons, four granddaughters, and five great-grands. We have been at HMCC since 2014.

Most of my adult years have been spent in Christian churches where I have worked in nurseries, children's church, teen Sunday School classes and youth groups. When my husband of sixty-seven years died in March, 2025, I realized that losing a spouse is not something anyone can prepare you for. But I also learned the blessing of friends who walk beside you through difficult seasons and the importance of friends who are walking the same path and understand the challenges. That led me to accept the leadership role of the Kindred Hearts - for widows.
