JESUS

Who is Jesus?

Jesus is the Son of God. Because sin, which separates us from God, requires a perfect sacrifice, Jesus became that sacrifice for you. He suffered at the hands of men, not because of something he did, but because of his love for us. His death was the doorway to right standing with God. But he didn’t stay in the grave. He displayed his divinity by rising again. His resurrection is the promise of new and eternal life. Now, he’s alive and seated at the right hand of God.

READY TO FOLLOW JESUS?

WE AREN'T REQUIRED TO EARN SALVATION. ALL IT TAKES IS SURRENDER. YOU CAN START WITH THIS SIMPLE PRAYER OF REPENTANCE:

“Jesus, I know I'm not perfect. I've sinned, and I'm sorry. I believe you died for me and rose again, and freed me from sin. Give me a new life and show me who you really are. Thank you for your forgiveness, love, and grace. I want to live for you today and everyday. Amen.”

Next Steps

If you have made Jesus your Lord and Savior, you are now ready to be baptized. Baptism is the point of entry into your relationship with God. Romans 6:4 states, "Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life." (NIV)

Christ surgically removes your sin in baptism. "In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead." (Colossians 2:11-12, NIV)

WHO SHOULD GET BAPTIZED?

Anyone (and everyone!) who has made the decision to follow Jesus and accept the free gift of salvation he offers.
